On-Line Policies


All information you provide us will remain private and confidential to Cole Hardware. We will never share, sell or rent your contact and billing information.

Order Processing

When you place an order, we will process it immediately. If you are picking it up in one of our stores, we will let you know when it is ready. If we are shipping it to you, we will notify you when we ship it.

Order Cancellation

If you change your mind and need to cancel your order, just send us an email at weborders@colehardware.com. We will cancel it immediately and confirm with you via email.

Order Status

To receive an update on your order status, send us an email at weborders@colehardware.com, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. If for some reason your order is delayed, we'll email you to let you know.


If you choose to have your order shipped rather than picking it up in one of our stores, we will gladly do so by UPS. If your shipping address is in San Francisco we may use our own delivery vehicles. Orders valued at over $100 to San Francisco addresses ship free, if you are a member of our Rewards program.


If you must return an item, please do so in any of our stores. If you are not local, email us at weborders@colehardware.com, and we will arrange a return and credit.

Payment Processing

Your credit card will be charged upon checkout. If you have a charge account with us you may chose that as a payment method during checkout. However, in some cases, we may need to collect a 50% deposit. We'll contact you if this is the case.

Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

All products sold are warrented by the manufacturer and our liability is limited by the terms of those warranties. However, if you are not satisfied with anything you purchase from us, we will gladly do whatever we can to insure a speedy resolution to whatever issue you may have. Our simple mission statement is "Our commitment to you: Your satisfaction guaranteed. Period." We mean it.
